Bessie's birthday layout

It had been a tradition of my scrapping buddies that when every time one of us celebrate our birthday, the celebrant will make a project for the group. This time it was Bessie's turn (Haven't finish yet Karen's birthday project). And I was so happy I was able to finish all 3 projects, 2 layouts and 1 bag tag.

Layout 1: (Still missing 3 flowers and a picture).

Layout 2:

Cannot post the bag tag since Mikee took it and played with it already.

Thanks Bessie for the projects.

Karen's card

Finally, I was able to finish and post Karen's birthday card. This had been long long way overdue. I happen  to distress everything since Karen prefers distressed colors and images. It was difficult for me since I prefer happy and bright colors.

I got this style card from sizzix by Shelly Hickox and modified some of the designs. Since I still don't have a Sizzix Diffuser, I just made my own using the Splitcoaster Tutorial in Double Embossing. I colored my hero arts stamp with copic markers, die cut th dies and colored it with my Viva Decor inka gold. I really had fun using my new toy.

Upon opening I used a Karen Burniston pull up tag frame which I saw in her you tube channel that she also incorporated in a card she made.

Closer look of the haning 3d bird cage die from tim holtz. Almost all materials I used were tim holtz dies since Karen is a big fan of tim holtz. I hope she will like the card I made. Now, off to do and finish Bessie's card.

Thanks for looking!

After 1 year

It has been awhile again since my last post. I was really in a hiatus in blogging but not into scrapping. Plus I had been into a new hobby which is card making. I am really hooked into card making since I finish my projects quite fast. If you know me, I am really a slow scrapper since I really do a lot of measuring and I want all my papers place properly and quite straight.

These are a few of my finish card projects, some are not posted anymore since I gave it away to my family and friends.

A card for the parents

A birthday card using my sizzilits die. Did a bit of paper piecing here and used a spellbinder die.

Did my new hobby craze here -- coloring with copic markers.

Used another craze of mine -- using pan pastel as background image and coloring with copics on Penny Black stamps

Just love, love coloring with copics on Greeting Farm stamps and penny Black Stamps. Hopefully I can get hold of Laland stamps.

One of my favorite cards. I used a Precious Moments stamp.

A Father's day card for my dh.

And lastly, a drawing made by my lovely daughter and made it into a card. Thanks to her school she has really improved a lot. She has shown a big interest in drawing.

Next time, will be posting my scrapbook layouts.

Hibernating for awhile

After a long, long time. I am finally backed to scrapping and finally will update my blog.
A lot of things have happened, the typhoon, a new member of the family, my mom is back from US and now my baby girl is going to school in Gymboree, Shangri-la.

It's a good thing I'm with the Thursday group wherein we get to scrap once a month (last thursday of the month) and teach each other new techniques or what we have discovered and share to the group. Or we just share some good finds we have or just talk about the latest arrivals of the LSS and split the goodies among us. Or just share our new toys.

Here is one of my favorite layouts. We actually used canvass here. Thanks to our teacher Bessie who patiently taught us and provided us with free kits to make our own layout.

My next layouts were inspired by pagemaps or sketches that I have downloaded in the net.

Closer look of my inspirations
Here are still my other layouts:

With this layout, I tried using my old stuffs and having some white space also.

I only have a few layouts of myself, my layouts usually are of my husband and Mikee. Anyway, Mikee was the reason why I was hooked to this hobby. I just love taking her pictures and preserving it.

Its so easy to make layouts especially if you have nice papers. Like this paper from K&Co (A to Z), got it from Memory Lane Store. The paper was fully dressed up that I just added a few embellishments and its ready to go.

This is just a simple layout which I am totally crazy about. Its so coincidence that I was able to buy a chipboard embelishment of a weighing scale and my baby's picture exactly fits the scale. Its like she was really on top of the scale.

Well, I guess this is it for the day. Will be updating again hopefully tomorrow and will be able to share more of my layouts.

See yah!

Another layout

It's friday already... how time flies especially if you have a deadline that you're trying to avoid. But despite my deadline, I was able to finish another layout for 2 days. Before, it takes me a week to finish a layout but recently, I can finish it overnight or for 2 days. (But I will not be able to finish a layout without the help of the sketches I download...wink...wink).

Here is a finsh lo of my dd taking her first bath on her tub

A closer look... And see, I have a journaling which I normally don't do. And I was able to use my grommet tool after a long, long, long time. Plus, I did my favorite technique -- embossing with UTEE white.

Btw, while I was looking for coloring books for my niece in NBS-SLE, I was able to scavenge chipboards which are really cheap. Cost only Ph37.00 for 24 pieces each.

Good find noh... Happy weekend everyone... Till next post

Sunday... Workday

It's sunday today, unfortunately, still have to work today. Saw a total of 11 persons for ultrasound. Not bad for a sunday work, but it would be better if I will be my dd and spend the rest of the day with her. She's now playing with dh so that i can post here again.

I was able to finish a layout yesterday. I'm becoming to be a very fast scrapper, as long as I have a sketch in my mind or one to copy, everything comes out. The only problem comes when I add some embelishments.

Here is my finish lo of my dd:

A closer look of her pictures...

It's nice being techie and being in touch with the world. Just now, as I was logging at my email, I got a lot of invitation from facebook. (Have to explore that pa) It's nice being in touch with people you haven't seen for a long time. (I must check and update my account with them.)

Lastly, I'm really wishing for a Tonic Border Punch.

I am just an addict in border punchers. I just can't seem to get enough of it. Here is what tonic border puncher can do.

Oops, it monday na pala....lol

Until next post.... Thanks for dropping by...
